Only 10 days left until Books by the Bay! Join us Friday, September 22nd, 6:30pm at the Hands On Children’s Museum with other local leaders and literati to meet award winning authors, and enjoy food, drink, festivities, and all-around fun, all in support of our mission. Looking for something more family friendly? We are expanding our Books by the Bay into a multiday literacy festival, Olylit!
From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Toni Yuly will be at the Olympia Farmers Market reading her new book Slowly Slowly, followed by crafts and activities. And then come to Browsers Bookshop from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM where Toni will be signing books.
Later at 12:00pm at Browsers Bookshop, New York Time’s best-selling author, Kevin O’Brien and Bram Stocker Award nominee KC Jones will be in conversation.
Books by the Bay Volunteers Needed. If large events are not your thing, consider volunteering at Books by the Bay on Friday, September 22ndat the Hands on Children's Museum. We particularly need help unloading at 4:00 pm and setting up from 5:30-6:30 for a quick turn around since the event starts at 6:30. We will also need help at the event (must be 21) from 6:30-8:30 or so and with clean up from 8:30 or so to 9:30 pm. For more information or to sign up, email us at read2me@nthurston.k12.wa.us.
